Pet Wellbeing announced today that, moving forward, some of our pet supplements will now be delivered to you in PET plastic packaging. We’re making the switch from glass bottles for several reasons:

1. PET is 100% recyclable: Many PET packaging products today are made from post-consumer recycled materials and are safe for use in everyday consumer products. The recyclable nature of PET packaging products helps preserve resources, lower greenhouse gas emissions and reduce waste in landfills.
2. PET minimizes the need for other packaging materials: Because PET plastic packaging is strong but resistant to shattering, fewer precautions are necessary when packaging and shipping products to consumers. Materials like plastic bubble wrap are rarely necessary since the bottles do not need to be protected like fragile glass ones do. A decrease in necessary packaging materials further eliminates landfill waste.
3. PET decreases shipping emissions: Due to the light weight of PET packaging, shipping emissions are decreased. Greenhouse gas emissions and the use of natural resources can be lowered for each shipment carrying PET plastic, as opposed to heavier or more fragile items like glass or other plastics.

By making the switch to PET plastic packaging, we hope to lower our environmental impact significantly, while still providing the same top-quality, all-natural products your pets know and love.
