Throat Gold Chewies are veterinarian-formulated with potent herbal ingredients that support throat tissue and a healthy immune response in the upper airways. Several of the herbs in the Throat Gold Chewies are known as "demulcents." Demulcents contain high levels of mucilage, which is a plant compound that holistically helps maintain healthy mucous membranes and tissues in the throat and upper respiratory tract. 

What are Throat Gold Chewies used for?

Occasional coughing can be strenuous for both dogs and the pet owner. Throat Gold Chewies may help calm occasional throat irritation caused by normal environmental factors and leash strain.

Animals in poorly ventilated areas, stressful situations (like travel), or exposed to environmental stressors like cigarette smoke, may benefit from additional upper respiratory immune support. Kennels and grooming salons are also places where a healthy immune system is crucial.

Directions for Use

Administer daily. Daily amount can be divided between morning and evening.

• Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice root (Glycyrrhiza glabra)
• Usnea thallus (Usnea spp.)
• Slippery Elm bark (Ulmus fulva)
• Mullein leaf (Verbascum spp.)

Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice root: One of the most widely used herbs, Licorice root's demulcent properties help maintain healthy respiratory tract tissues.

Usnea thallus: Also called "Old Man's Beard", Usnea supports normal immune function in the throat and upper airways, especially in throat tissue. 

Slippery Elm bark: The bark of the Slippery Elm tree contains high amounts of mucilage, a component that helps maintain healthy mucous membranes of the respiratory tract. It may help with occasional throat irritation and is commonly used for seasonal coughs.

Mullein leaf: The leaves of Mullein also contain mucilage, which may help soothe occasional irritation in the throat.
