Happy DOGust! Celebrating Shelter Pets and Our "Rescue the Rescue" Initiative

If you adopted your furry best friend from a shelter, you might not know their exact day of birth — but that shouldn't stop them from getting a massive birthday celebration!

Welcome to DOGust, the universally recognized official birthday for all shelter and rescue dogs. Today, we are putting down the tennis balls for just a moment to celebrate the incredible, resilient shelter animals who bring so much joy to our lives, and to thank the humans who work tirelessly to protect them.

At Pet Wellbeing, the welfare of the most vulnerable pets is a core value of ours. We believe in genuine care and real-world responsibility — not just talking about it, but getting out into the community and making a difference. In fact, we have set a massive goal for ourselves: our mission is to help improve the lives of 1 million pets annually.

To move closer to that goal, we are celebrating DOGust by giving back!

A Special Delivery to Animal Care Society

As part of our ongoing mission, our team loaded up the truck this past July and delivered 72 units of Epic Mushroom Chewies over to the Animal Care Society (ACS).

Founded in 1984, the Animal Care Society is a local, no-kill shelter that acts as a true pillar in the community. They speak for the voiceless and offer a beautiful second chance to dogs and cats who have been neglected, abused, or are navigating their senior years with special medical needs. The staff at ACS were incredibly grateful for the delivery, and we were honored to support the vital work they do every single day.

Introducing: Rescue the Rescue!

We want to keep this momentum going all year long. Our community of rescue groups, shelters, sanctuaries, and fellow pet lovers deserves the best support possible.
