Milk Thistle - for Healthy Liver Function in Cats

My sixteen year old Persian cat Nina recently had quite elevated liver values. After six months on the milk thistle supplement her bloods showed yesterday that her liver is back to functioning normally.

My old friend Malachy is a Maine Coon and he is just 10 days away from being 16 years old. 12 months ago, Malachy started behaving oddly, pulling out his fur, agitated, very restless and lost quite a bit of weight in a short space of time. A visit to the vet confirmed that he had hyperthyroidism. Malachy also has a heart murmur but this had never been a problem until he began taking medication so it took a while to get the medication balanced for Malachy but even when they condition was under control, he looked awful. His beautiful fur looked as though the moths had been at it and he looked unhappy in himself. The vet said that tests showed that the thyroid medication and the pills he had been put on to help his heart had begun to cause problems with his kidneys and liver. We were devastated to watch our old friend go from one problem to another. However, then I came across Pet Wellbeing online. To be honest, I couldn't believe that a few drops of their supplement would make much difference but the reviews looked good and we were desperate. Malachy has been taking the Gold supplements for his kidneys and liver for about 6 weeks now and the difference is unbelievable . He is back to his old body but loving self, his eyes are shining and his coat is better than I have seen it for a very long time. He is no longer restless and sad but is full of interest in life. The vet is also amazed at the positive changes and said that his heart murmer has become less noticeable and is just about back to where it was before all this kicked off. He has another test on his kidneys and liver in 6 weeks time so we will see what that shows but I think the proof is there in his overall health and wellbeing. I have two other Maine Coons who are both years old and I am so grateful to know that there is something I can do to support them as they grow older with the safe and effective supplements that Pet Wellbeing offer.

Flynn has been taking Milk Thistle for 3 months now. He has regained some of the weight he lost, his appetite has improved, and he is having normal bowel movements. Plus, he has more energy and appears to have better overall health.

The proof will come in June when the vet checks Flynn's liver function again.

It is wonderful and my cat is doing well. She was throwing up green and yellow liquid and her food. She has been on the Kidney Gold for a year and it saved her life. Damage from antibiotic and steroid shots shown in blood test. She had, but it is better, feline stomatitis. She also gets sublingual arnica tabs....all the above dissolved in a shot glass in an eye dropper of water. Make is easy to give her 1/3 of an eye dropper at a time.

I have a senior Bengal mix that has a thyroid condition and has been on anxiety meds for most of his life. I hate that he is on medication but I've tried alternative options on many occasions with poor results. So, to help him process his meds and counteract some of the side effects, I use Milk Thistle. His last kidney and liver values were within range which has been YEARS since that was true. I will continue to use this for 2 of my cats who need that extra help.

Grat product and one cat will eat it with its food but other two won't and they hate the taste and drool but I give it anyways orally but only been on It for a week or two and I see some calmer deminer after administration

Your products are very good but we had to put our cat on prescription meds for her seizures and a steroid.

My fur baby was showing signs of Jaundice his gums were yellow and I know it was his liver that was causing it :( I ordered this milk thistle and it made the yellowing go away. And he’s eating better now. Over all great product ,but gave it 3 stars because it didn’t get delivered on time :(

It may be good for others, but my cat foams at the mouth every time I gave it to him. I had to stop. He has very high LFTs.
Hes 5 lbs. . 3 yrs old. One of my rescues. Never grew, but acts like a champ!
He also has an occasional seizure.
I wish he would take this product. Thanks.

I have been giving my 20 year old cat Young at Heart, Kidney Support and Milk Thistle along with his medication for hyperthyroid disease. I mix his medication in the herbs and squirt it in his mouth which I think makes it taste better for him. I don't put it in his water. He has been taking these supplements for about a year and is doing fine.

So far 2 doses improve stool not as much odor with IBD

My 16 year old Burmese baby has been on this for over a year, and her liver function values remain stable. She had VERY elevated liver enzymes and was really sick. The vet tried a well-known prescription supplement, but it was impossible to give because it just tastes so bad. It seemed to be helpful according to his blood work. However, Murray has been less and less agreeable to taking it on his food. So I give it to him less often.

Worked great

I was given this product in exchange for my honest review. My cats love thi sbrand in general, i've tried so many producs at this point and know i adore this brand, all their products are easy to use and easy for my cats to consume.

A few months ago, my 1.5 year old neutered, male cat had urinary problems. I was surprised because I had been giving him Urinary Care daily for many months already. The source wasn't discovered, but he was given medications for pain, inflammation and infection. On the medications he became a different cat. He was happy and snuggly and playful. Clearly he hadn't been feeling well for a long time. It wasn't long after stopping the medications that he became grumpy and didn't want to cuddle. I'd give him a small dose of antiinflammatories and he'd feel better for a week. I knew something was wrong, but couldn't figure it out. I tried Detox Gold, which helped a little. Then I tried Milk Thistle. He has been taking a half dose of Milk Thistle for a week and he is a different cat! He is so happy! He is less vocal. He plays with his toys by himself sometimes. He's content to watch birds sometimes. He's snuggly. He eats a proper amount of food. He eats a fair amount of food in one sitting. I think his litter box use has become easier, but I need to observe that for longer to be sure. He's just a happy cat again! Before Milk Thistle he was vocally complaining most of the time he was awake. He was difficult to play with and would never play on his own. Some days he would barely eat and on the days he ate, it would just be a bite or two at a time. It took him all day to eat a little bit of food. He could be grumpy and bite at me or swipe at me out of anger. I feel so much relief knowing that he feels good, and both our lives are easier now that he is content.

Love this product! So easy to use and just out right into my cats food. I also love that it tells you exactly how much to use depending on your cats weight.
