Paws, Community, and Care: Highlighting Our Day at the VOKRA Walk for the Kitties

At Pet Wellbeing, supporting animals in need goes far beyond the walls of our office—it is at the very heart of everything we do. We were thrilled to host a booth at this year’s VOKRA Walk for the Kitties, a community event dedicated to celebrating and raising vital funds for feline rescue.

What is VOKRA and the Walk for the Kitties?

The Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association (VOKRA) is on a mission to end cat overpopulation and homelessness. They rescue, heal, and home cats through a compassionate network of foster families before matching them with loving forever homes. As a volunteer-driven charity, VOKRA champions no-kill rescue and Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) practices based on a simple truth: cats are awesome.

The Walk for the Kitties is VOKRA’s signature fundraising event, bringing together animal lovers to support their life-saving work. This year’s walk was a tremendous success, raising $129,910 toward their $275,000 goal. Pet Wellbeing is proud to be a long-standing partner in their effort, having donated 892 items to VOKRA since 2021.

Championing Vulnerable Pets: Rescue the Rescue

While hosting our booth, we loved connecting with attendees and introducing them to Rescue the Rescue, an initiative built around our core values. We believe the most vulnerable pets deserve dedicated support, which is why we partner with rescue groups, shelters, and sanctuaries to provide tailored donations, volunteer work, and ongoing resources to improve the quality of life for animals waiting for their forever homes.

Empowering Pet Parents: Our eCARE Program

We also highlighted our eCARE Program, designed to eliminate the guesswork from pet health and help you feel like your pet’s superhero. Guided by our staff veterinarian, Dr. Jan, our trained eCare Specialists provide free, expert-backed wellness plans tailored to your pet's specific needs.
